 THE 9 CHAKRAS

 

The central body consists of 9 major chakras, energy-centers, “wells,” or portals, spanning the entire range of reality from the subtlest spirit in the crown above the head, to the densest matter in the feet. Each chakra opens onto and creates or administers a corresponding dimension or stratum of the whole. These 9 chakras and dimensions are:

 

 

The Three Chakras of Spirit

 

Crown (Sahasrara): the Adi or Logoic realm, also known as Purusha, Shiva, the Father, the Absolute, the Indescribable paradox, the emptiful Transcendent spirit. The Adi is the Spirit of Spirit, the subtlest Spirit, the natural abode of the Spirit. Viewed as the culmination or ninth station of the upward flow of Mother-Matter, the Adi is the Laughter of Laughter, Energy of Energy, Bliss of Bliss, Ananda-Ananda. Viewed as the inception or first station of the downward flow of Father-Spirit, the Adi is the Love of Love, Being of Being, Sat-Sat.

 

Brow or third-eye (Ajna): the Avyakta or Monadic realm, the Witness, also known as the Pleroma, the fullness of the blueprints of unmanifest creation. The Monadic is the Soul of Spirit, the middle Spirit. Viewed as the penultimate or eighth station of the upward flow of Mother-Matter, the Avyakta is the Light of Laughter or Consciousness of Bliss, Ananda-chit. Viewed as the second station of the downward flow of Father-Spirit, the Monadic is the Light of Love, Consciousness of Being, Sat-Chit.

 

Throat (Visuddha): the Mahat-Atman, the Atmic realm or Akasha of proto-space, the quintessence, the vibratory realm of proto-creation. The Atmic is the Body of Spirit, the densest Spirit. Viewed as the ante-penultimate or seventh station of the upward flow of Mother-Matter, the Atmic is the Love of Laughter or Being of Bliss, Ananda-sat. Viewed as the third station of the downward flow of Father-Spirit, the Monadic is the Laughter of Love or Bliss of Being, Sat-Ananda.

 

The Three Chakras of Soul

 

Heart (Anahata): the Buddhic realm of proto-air, the intuitive realm of finest feeling, discernment, subtlest intellect, and knowing by heart. The Buddhic realm is the Spirit of Soul, the subtlest Soul. Viewed as the sixth station of the upward flow of Mother-Matter, the Buddhic is the Laughter of Light or Bliss of Consciousness, Chit-Ananda. Viewed as the fourth station of the downward flow of Father-Spirit, the Buddhic is the Love of Light or Being of Consciousness, Chit-Sat.

 

Solar Plexus or Sacred Heart (Hrit): the Causal realm of Transcendental fiery-air, the true human, the Ahamkara or I-AM or Solar Angel. The Ahamkara is the Soul of Soul, the middle Soul, the seat of the Soul. Viewed as either the fifth station of the upward flow of Mother-Matter, or the fifth station of the downward flow of Father-Spirit, the Causal is the Light of Light or Consciousness of Consciousness, Chit-Chit.

 

Navel (Manipura): the Manasic or Mental realm of proto-fire, the finest realm of seeing, the animal or dense mind, the knower of spacetime, the desirer, the mover. The Manasic is the Body of Soul, the densest Soul. Viewed as the fourth station of the upward flow of Mother-Matter, the Manasic is the Love of Light or Being of Consciousness, Chit-Sat. Viewed as the sixth station of the downward flow of Father-Spirit, the Manasic is the Laughter of Light or Bliss of Consciousness, Chit-Ananda.

 

The Three Chakras of Body

 

Sex (Svadhisthana): the Astral realm is proto-water, the finest realm of taste, the subtle body, the electromagnetic realm of the inner cosmic kundalini-tree (sushumna) and its flowers (chakras), the realm of the Indriyas or Senses. The Astral is the Spirit of the Body, the subtlest Body. Viewed as the third station of the upward flow of Mother-Matter, the Astral is the Laughter of Love or Bliss of Being, Sat-Ananda. Viewed as the seventh station of the downward flow of Father-Spirit, the Astral is the Love of Laughter or Being of Bliss, Ananda-Sat.

 

Base (Muladhara): the Physical realm is proto-earth, the finest realm of smell, the middle body, the realm of the Karmendriyas or Organs of Action. The Physical is the Soul of the Body, the middle Body. Viewed as the second station of the upward flow of Mother-Matter, the Physical is the Light of Love or Consciousness of Being, Sat-Chit. Viewed as the eighth station of the downward flow of Father-Spirit, the Physical is the Light of Laughter or Consciusness of Bliss, Ananda-Chit.

 

Feet: the Elemental realm of Transcendental earth, the densest realm of body and Matter, also known as Prakriti, Vishnu, Shakti, the Mother, the Relative, the Unfathomable Maya. The Elemental is the Body of Body, the densest body, the seat of Matter. Viewed as the first station of the upward flow of Mother-Matter, the Elemental is the Love of Love or Being of Being, Sat-Sat. Viewed as the ninth station of the downward flow of Father-Spirit, the Elemental is the Laughter of Laughter or Bliss of Bliss, Ananda-Ananda.
